So good, Anne. There is a definite sense of ‘being in good hands’ that the best and kindest professionals can offer us. I love having my hair washed. Having a helper who can carry my rubbish to the bin chute and schlep heavy groceries home gives me a similar feeling of relief.
Oh, I love those additions, Michelle. Yes, that is a kind of weight release - as are the ones @Paula mentioned below. As my mentor is fond of saying, "A problem shared is a problem halved." ❤️
Dearest Anne, I guess there are some people in DC who would perhaps appreciate this kind of relaxing care from any hair stylist; except they should have a busy brain to need such a relaxing session, but actually I'm not sure your stylist would be busy at all. Even not having to think of it. A busy brain means a working brain, yet. Have a great week end and week. pierre alain v etc
Sometimes my working brain is busy on things that don't help me move forward at all - stress, worry, anxiety. Ugh. I agree with you, pierre-alain, spewing fear and manufacturing panic isn't the best use of a person's brain at all. ❤️
I rely on those small moments in life, a smile from a stranger, an extra hand opening a door. I miss having a partner, but with an open heart we can feel relief in unexpected moments. Thanks Anne for putting that weight out there.
Thank you for sharing the many ways in which you find relief, Paula. I hadn't thought of a smile or opening a door as a way to put the weight down - but it is. You've expanded my vision of joy, Paula. Thank you. ❤️
